Five Basic Principles

Image
These five basic principles elevate design because they make the designs and magazines easier to read and it's all organized for example proximity makes sure that each section is all about the same thing if the section is talking about cars then every thing in the section needs to some how relate  about cars. Another way it keeps everything organized is with alignment everything is arranged and it is not all over the place and messy. It is all in one place either in the left, right, middle, top and or bottom. The other principle that helps out with alignment is white space. White space technically is the space between the words and the lines it " gives the margin room to breathe". I will use these principles in my magazine because they give the magazine a high level of organization. I also like the principle proximity I really like how it categorizes each topic so I will be using that when I do my sketch and I will use the alignment so my work with the pictures I insert

Marketing

Image
Marketing is played in our everyday life by showing us certain products and certain things that we can use or buy to make our life better and or easier we see marketing every day even if we don't notice or realize it people can use marketing to even convince us to buy something that we claimed we do not like or to download a game that we have not experienced yet. I was logging into  clever this morning when I saw a ad about a video game that is trending right now the game is called "among us"  the ad was bright so I immediately looked at it. What interested me from the ad was how they lined up all the characters from the game in a line and put details around the game on the ad they put details like how we can change the colors of the people or how we can customize our own character they also put how we do tasks until everyone is dead or until the citizens catch the imposter that is among us. This ad was a general ad it was not personalized because it was just saying wha

Elements of Narrative Reflection

Image
  1. A narrator is the person who is telling the story and narration is the story being read 2. omniscient narration is where the narrator has a lot of information on everything happening and restricted does not 3.A camera narrator is the person that captures all of the events in the film a third person is when that person is not in the film at all but is vocally saying what is going on. a first person narrator is actually in the film unlike a third person. 4. I think that a major character should not be flat because the attention needs to be on them and if a minor character was round they would steal all the attention from the major character. 5. The climax is the highest point of the story where the problem is actually shown and addressed it relates to the protagonist because they are the ones that are supposed to find a solution to solve the problem. 6. The digenesis is the film from the setting to the characters and the props and everything else the difference between diegetic and

Sturat Hall's Representation Theory

Image
Representation is the way media labels or looks at certain groups. Sturat Hall's theory states that there is not a true representation of people or events. Meaning that media just wants us to see what they want us to see for example in many movies that we watch there are a bunch of stereotypes like with witches when someone says witch you immediately think of a woman who is green with a pointy nose or a pointy hat. Sturat Hall is saying that there is no actual way of how something is supposed to be or look  Sturat Hall is saying not all witches have to look this way this is the only way we see them though because that is how media made them look. There are many many stereotypes out in the world even if they are small like how we think that all fairies are supposed to have wings

Social Construction

Image
Social construction is what we construct on race, gender, culture ,religion ,etc. it is basically what we build up things to be over the years this plays a part in  media because media takes 50% of what social construction is today because everything is posted through the media and everyone has and sees media everyday. Think about it with all the social media platforms that there are today in the modern world everyone has a chance to express their thoughts and emotions through media whether other people like it or not and that is just their opinion. Social construct has build up over the years through technology and how everything is more advanced then how it was then. When I say then how it was then I mean by back then it'd be spread through newspapers and if it was such big if a deal it'd be shown on television.

Representation

Image
Representation can be shown in different forms for example there is gender representation where people expect males and females to act a certain way and there is normal representation where you can say a random non-fiction thing like dragon and you would think of a big lizard with fire breath and wings or you can say princess and you would think of a girl with blonde hair wearing a pink dress with a wand. Representation is a big part in our world and is used in our everyday life representation is said to come from media. Media as in movies, films, and of course social media. Representation can not only just be about people it could also be about things too for example a exercise commercial you would see that gyms have treadmills and other exercise machines but not every gym needs to have treadmills or any other exercise machines for it to be considered a gym or for you to exercise at all.
